With every client I have I try my best to interpret the messages that I receive from Spirit. Where some mediums can describe the spirit that they are seeing very well, I cannot. Does that mean that I will never be able to see them that clearly? No. With study and practice I just might. When it comes to seeing spirits, I feel them more than I see, see them. The times that I’ve seen their form it’s been more of a silhouette. I see locations, settings, etc.
All mediums connect differently with Spirit. A great friend of mine, who is also a medium, has to touch the client while giving the reading. If a client tells me who they want to speak with and we start causally talking about that person, that makes the connection for me. I also use photos that clients bring in to help me connect with Spirit. A new method to connect with Spirit, that I’m anxious to start trying, is where I will have the client write down a list of people, angels, etc. they want to connect with; along with a question for that particular Spirit. Sometimes the Spirit you want to connect with won’t know it until they hear their name called. You could look at it as being in a crowded room. You want to talk with your Aunt Susan, but she doesn’t know that until you call out her name. We are all different.
Every day and every client is a learning experience for me. The following story explains this perfectly!
About thirty minutes before a client was to arrive I was talking to a friend of mine about how I was always worried about having my worst nightmare come true; that a client would come to me for a reading and nothing would happen. No spirit, no anything. Thus, leaving the client upset and thinking that I was a fraud or at the very least sucked as a medium.
Well of course when the client showed up…nothing! Hello self fulfilling prophecy! We started chatting about whom she wanted to connect with, which is how I tend to connect with spirit, but, nothing! She had mentioned that her loved one always came through when she got readings from a friend of mine. I apologized that no connection was being made and we parted ways. Needless to say when I got home I was beating myself up with negative talk. “I suck. If her loved one came through before with a medium, why not me?” And then it hit me. Why would her loved one speak to me when a rapport had already been built with another medium? It made total sense! The negative talk stopped right then and there. I realized that the entire experience was a lesson that I need to learn. Mediums can’t pick and choose who to speak to. We have no control over what spirit we connect with. Believe me, if we could I’d be the first person to let you know, but we can’t. So don’t be discouraged if you go to a medium and Uncle Bob didn’t come through. He may come through at the next reading or even the next medium.
